Budget Office
The Budget Office is a division within the Department of Administration and has offices in the Department of Administration building in Providence, R.I. In accordance with Rhode Island General Law 35-3-1, the Budget Officer is appointed by the Director of Administration, with the approval of the Governor. The Budget Officer is responsible, under the supervision of the Governor, for preparing the annual state budget, assembling, correlating, and revising the estimates of revenues and requests for appropriations of the various departments of the state government.
